In 1950’s，remarkable progress of X−ray apparatus was achieved. At that period major national concern in Japanese medical care was to prevent the T.B. Japanese mortality statistics indicated T.B. was the highest cause of death until 1950. Electrical power supply condition was poor and unstable about 15years after World War �U. Then，the unique condenser discharge type X−ray apparatus was developed and served as a very useful mass−screening tool for T.B. The historical and remarkable fact of nearly extermination of T.B. was one of the great benefits contributed by X−ray diagnosis.
